Personal Passionate Professional
I am Stephen Cruickshank, owner and chief photographer of StephenC Photography.
I live in Noordhoek, a semi rural suburb of Cape Town, South Africa with my wife and two daughters. There are also two hamsters, a dog and some goldfish who make up the rest of the family.
I have been taking photos since 1984 and have been a professional for more than 11 years. I am passionate about making images and passionate about Cape Town and South Africa and all that this great country has to offer. I am an internationally acclaimed photographer having shot on locations as diverse as New York, Zanzibar, Greece and Dubai. My clients include top corporate multinationals and a recent 3 week assignment to a top resort in Greece had me photographing close to 4000 European delegates over the 3 week period.
As a professional, I am always extremely focused and prepared. My years of experience allows me to anticipate what is going to happen next helping me in capturing those unique moments.
I like to believe I have an unassuming, calming nature which helps bring out the best when I am photographing people and groups in all situations. I have a number of years experience of working in the sme/corporate environment which has given me the familiarity and understanding of the demands, and time constraints, prevalent in the business world. Event photography goes far beyond just pointing a camera at a subject and I use this corporate experience to good use by offering a professional and efficient service to all clients.
