A message to
Tabitha... (for when you can read)
There is a story that goes
with these images taken on Dalebrook Beach in Kalk Bay. This is where I grew
up and I was keen to show you the rock pools, and at the same time relive a
bit of my childhood. So the pics above are of me showing you the little fish
and the periwinkles and the anenenenomes (as per Nimo) and the blue bottles...
Now just after these were taken we sitting back on the sand and you walked
into a tiny rock pool to play - you walked straight into a blue bottle which
attached itself to your very tender foot, right on on the arch. You screamed
so much and for so long that you actually "shut down" on us twice.
Brown vinegar helped a bit as did the aloe, however it was not until we
rushed you to the pharmacy and applied Stingose that you calmed down. This
was a very scary episode for us and I'm sure for you very ouchy. |
